What is the best sleep medication that you have tried?
I have trouble sleeping and I am considering medicine to help me get a few more hours, but I do not want that washed out drained feeling the next day. Does anyone know which over the counter or prescription drug might provide that rest I need?
I do not want to be eating in the middle of the night or driving around while asleep, which I have heard some sleep medications will allow you to do. I just would like a nice night sleep with no day after hang over feeling.

I have been prescribed a couple of different sleep medications, mainly when I was a lot younger. They all made me feel a bit drugged out the next day, and just weird in general. I have however taken an herbal remedy pill that is named Valerian Root. Valerian Root is an all natural herb in pill form which actually helps treat many things some of these are, epilepsy, nausea, and can be a replacement pill for things such as xanex and other mood stabilizers as well.
The Valerian root has been proven safe by the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA). So if you are wanting to try somethign that is a bit more healthy with a lot less scary side effects I would suggest giving this a try! Some people have said while taking this herb, have experienced a few side effects, such as feeling restless, or anxious, but keep in mind these are only a few people. Hope this helps, and gets you some sleep!
