First off i suggest Yogi "Bedtime tea":
If you don't like this for whatever reason the main ingredients can be bought as loose leaf tea.
#1 St. John's wort: "Along with being effective in depression and anxiety treatment, St. John's wort also works for treating sleep disorders, particularly insomnia. It can be an ingredient in other sleep aid medication or taken alone in a concentrated pill form. The side effects of St. John's wort include increased sensitivity to the sun, causing you to sunburn more easily. Similarly, avoid taking this herbal supplement if you already take MAO inhibitors (medications for depression and/or migraines)."
#2 Valerian root: "As the most popular herbal sleep supplement, valerian is also an effective treatment for nerve and muscle disorders. Like chamomile and catnip, valerian is generally consumed as a tea. Side effects, such as loss of muscle function and heart troubles, only arise when too much valerian is consumed."
#3 Passion flower: "This calming herb is an especially helpful sleep aid for sleep disorders caused by chronic pain, muscle conditions and anxiety. Because the most common side effect of passion flower is drowsiness, don't take it unless you plan to sleep for while."
The rest of the ingredients in the tea are flavors. i noticed that in either this tea or the calming tea there is an ingredient called "Skull Cap Leaf", its probably just for color or flavor but i like to think this is what makes me tired because it has the most brutal name, throw a little bit in for good measure.

M$Plants such as Valerian, passionflower, hops, chamomile, oats, St. John's wort and skullcap are all relaxing or sleep inducing wild herbs which can be purchased or prepared into the form of capsules, tinctures and teas. In addition to other properties and benefits which each herb possess, all of them can be taken individually, or in combination, at night to aid in achieving sleep. Talk to your doctor before taking anything in combination with your medication.
