Will sleeping on a schedule improve the overall quality of life?
I lost my job about a year ago, and now my income is solely based on my freelance writing. I have noticed my overall health and well being has been declining since. I am not sure if this is due to something unrelated or if my sleeping pattern is messing my body up. Sometimes I only sleep 4 hours. Then other times I will sleep 10 hours. Then on some days I’ll sleep 2 or 3 hours, then get up for 2 or 3 hours, and repeat.

May be it is because of the stress due to the unpredictability of the income. Writing needs a lot of mental work. May be that is why your sleep pattern changes. Are you eating healthy and getting enough exercise? Then, try to go to sleep at the same time everyday. I find that while I sleep without a schedule, I am less productive. I used to sleep during the day. I felt so tires still. Now I try not to sleep during the day. It makes me feel better and get things done. Smaller achievements will increase the dopamine level in the brain and will boost your energy level and happiness. A schedule to sleep will be good for you.
