Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @kingpin, I found guide questions that will help you know if you are indeed have narcolepsy.

So, how do you know if you have narcolepsy?
1. Is it impossible or almost impossible for you to keep from falling asleep during daytime?
2. Do you still feel sleepy when you had a full night of sleep?
3. Do you feel sleepy soon after having had a long nap?

If the answer to the above questions is yes, then you might have narcolepsy. This condition can persist through out your lifetime and usually starts at ages 12 and 20. If you find it hard to move when you first fall asleep or wake up then there's a bigger chance that you might have it.

It would be crucial to know also if there are something that might be causing you sleep problems like another sleep disorder, medical condition, medication use, mental health disorder or substance abuse.

If you think you have narcolepsy, you have to consult a Sleep specialist have the skill and experience to help you get better. They will do a thorough evaluation, know your full medical history, give you a physical exam and give you two sleep studies. These are Overnight Sleep Study and Multiple Sleep Latency Test. These will help them evaluate your problem.
