Does anyone know if the Tempurpedic mattress is worth the extra money, or if I am fine going with Bed in a Box?

I am pretty sure I am getting a memory foam mattress - would appreciate some recommendations - I obviously want to save money, but quality is definitely important to me - looking for a queen (not that it matters..)

I actually have arthritis and a lot of back pain. We considered getting a tempurpedic but couldn't afford it. So, we bought the memory foam mattress in the box from Wal Mart actually. I don't know if the tempurpedic is worth the extra money but I do know how much the one I bought has helped me. I used to barely be able to get up in the mornings now I still have some stiffness but nothing like I had before. I used to have trouble sleeping from pain at night now I sleep so much better. It might not be the genuine thing but I can tell you it has helped me.

In my opinion, the short answer is NO. My boyfriend got one (the Rhapsody) for $3800 and it is hard as a rock. Even when you set it to be softer, it's a weird "soft". We hate it. However, instead of trying to get used to it, we just sleep in our old bed. i have heard from others that it takes a few months and then you will love it. I would rather spend a little extra on a traditional type mattress though.
Just my two cents! I hope you find one you love!
